Bihar Oath Ceremony

The oath ceremony in Bihar will be held in a simple format. According to sources, only three leaders will take oath on April 15. This includes Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary and two Deputy CMs. The decision has drawn political attention. It reflects a cautious start for the new government.

Who are the leaders taking oath?

Senior JDU leaders Bijendra Prasad Yadav and Vijay Kumar Chaudhary are expected to become Deputy Chief Ministers. They will take oath along with the Chief Minister. This move highlights the importance of alliance balance. It also shows JDU’s strong role in the government.

What about the rest of the cabinet?

Other ministers will not be sworn in immediately. Leaders from BJP, JDU and allied parties will be included later. This includes members from LJP-R, HAM and RLM. The cabinet will be expanded in phases. Discussions are still ongoing.

When will the cabinet expansion happen?

Sources suggest that Samrat Chaudhary will first prove his majority in the Assembly. After that, the cabinet expansion will take place. Many existing leaders may retain their positions. Final decisions are yet to be made.

Will election results impact decisions?

There are indications that expansion may be delayed. BJP sources say decisions could come after election results in states like West Bengal and Assam. Until then, the government will function with a limited setup. This is being seen as a strategic move.

Is there no full agreement yet?

There is no final agreement yet on ministerial positions. Talks are still ongoing within the NDA alliance. BJP and JDU are working out seat and portfolio sharing. Other allies will be consulted afterward. The process is still in progress. All eyes are now on the oath ceremony. After that, the government will prove its majority in the Assembly. The full cabinet will be formed step by step. Bihar politics is entering a new phase.
